RISE Lab has two open PhD research assistant positions:
The Resilient Interdependent Systems Engineering lab at UConn Civil and Environmental Engineering Department has two open PhD research assistant positions for students to work with Dr. Jin Zhu starting from Spring 2019 or Fall 2019 to study complex sociotechnical systems including complex construction projects, interdependent infrastructure networks, and cities and communities.
Students with the following backgrounds or experiences are encouraged to apply:
- A bachelor or master (preferred) degree in civil engineering, construction management, industrial engineering, systems engineering or a related field
- Solid mathematical background. Programming skills preferred.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and hardworking
